Technical Challenge
The B-annulus is inaccessible for subsea wells, hence there is a desire to not have any fragile electronic components in this space. It is also not desirable to have any penetrations of the casing. Challenge is to measure and communicate the pressure in B-annulus. BAMSE system utilizes a novelultrasonics based system to measure through the casing wall

Monitoring of B-annulus is required by the Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority: “Annulus should have pressure monitoring”
